Bouncing Marbles

Bloged in Paranormal by Gatekeeper Friday August 25, 2006

Most Singaporeans live in flats.

There was a period of time when we tend to hear the sound of bouncing marbles in the middle of the night from our neighbours above us.

What if you are staying on the most top level?

Children playing in the middle of the night?

The next story will be about marbles that bounces in the night…

The Taxi Driver

Bloged in Paranormal by Gatekeeper Tuesday August 22, 2006

This is a story spread among Singapore taxi drivers.

It was Chinese New Year’s eve. Taxi driver Ah Tan was rushing back home to celebrate the family reunion dinner.

He happened to pass by a remote path somewhere near Punggol. The area used to be a farm village but has been deserted for a few years.

There were four bus-stops along the roadside. While he was driving along the path, he saw a young lady at the bus-stop flagging for his taxi. At first, he wanted to take the lady but as he was going to be late for his dinner, he decided not to take this customer.

Then he carried on driving. To his surprise, there was another lady flagging him down. This time he felt she looked familiar as she was wearing a red T-shirt and black skirt like the first lady at the previous stop.

When he passed by the third bus-stop, he was shock as another lady was flagging him again, in the same red and black clothes! How could she move faster than a car? The distance between two stops is about 0.8 KM away!

This time, he was really freak out and stepped the accelerator harder. When passing the fourth bus stop, a lady charged at his car!

The lady flew over his vehicle and dropped inside a drain next to the bus-stop. Ah Tan cried out due to extremely horror! The victim was once again in red and black clothes.

Ah Tan felt so bad and had no mood to celebrate New Year. He decided to make a police report. The body in red and black skirt was found, it was a young Chinese lady aged between 20 to 25 year old.

However, the lady’s cause of death was not by car accident but was stabbed! She had been dead for about three days and the body had already started to decay.

After the police statement, Ah Tan thought of the whole things had been over.

One week later, Ah Tan striked first prize 4-D for his taxi number plate. He won a big sum of money, he was so delighted but unfortunately he fell down in the bath room, fractured his right arm and was admitted to hospital.

In the hospital, he started to have nightmares every night. A young lady,
in red and black skirt, kept calling him “Uncle, when are you coming down?”.

His health started to get worse.

One of his friend who is a Taoist priest suggested him to give up his prize money as the money is for his life.

He decided to give up his $100,000 to Charity. Strange enough, he recovered from the illness rapidly.

Everything seemed to be over, but a short period after his discharged, his wife striked 4-D again, the stake amount is also $100,000 (the same amount which Ah Tan won)!

His wife got the winning numbers from a used newspaper which reported the same young lady’s murder case.

After a fierce argument between them, Ah Tan failed to convince his wife to donate the money.

Things started to change after a while, Ah Tan’s wife started began to wear red T-shirt and black skirt and her temper was getting worse.

One morning, she suddenly told Ah Tan that the life is meaningless’.

This time Ah Tan gave up all the money immediately.

He brought his wife to the temple and asked the monks for help.

After this incident, he stopped buying 4-D or be involve in any kind of gambling.

It was also said that he had given up his taxi-license.

True or not? Ask the next taxi driver if you happen to be in one…

Ghost Ships/Planes

Bloged in Paranormal by Gatekeeper Saturday August 19, 2006

You might have heard stories about ghost ships, planes, etc.

Stories like The Flying Dutchman, Mary Celeste, The Queen Mary, as for ghost planes, there isn’t any real famous ones.

Just wondering. We have “ghosts” as they were human once, with a living source. So how did ghost objects come about?

Anyone have any views on this?

Today is Buddhist Ghost Festival, “Ullambana”

The Buddha established the fifteenth day of the seventh month in the lunar calendar as a day of prayer and offering in which monks can pray and make sacrifices on behalf of dead ancestors or hungry ghosts.

Email Accounts

Bloged in Thoughts by Gatekeeper Sunday August 6, 2006

Would anyone be interested in buying email accounts from me?

No no, it is not those spamming emails but rather if you want the emails with the domains, hellgates.com, heavengates.com or eathgates.com

I am the owner of hellgates, heavengates and earthgates.com. Right now, only hellgates is the site with content and I am still thinking what content to include for the other two.

They are just pointing to my photography site now.

Anyone interested?

I am thinking of selling each account for US$2 per month and it will come with 5MB of space. Not a lot of space I know, unlike Gmail. But at the point of time, this is the amount I can spare unless demand is high.

The Guardian

Bloged in Paranormal by Gatekeeper Saturday August 5, 2006

On 4 Jan 2006, I mentioned that I wil be posting a story about feeling uneasy about being in other pple’s homes…here is the long awaited story..

Some chinese believe that in every home, there is a guardian spirit.

Do you realise that no matter how you rearrange your furniture, there is always a place where you will leave empty? Not because of any special reason.

Some people believe that the guardian spirit dwells in that particular corner.

Of course, there are times when the spirit turns “bad”.

This is a story about one of them…

Peter is a regular guy staying in a HDB flat in the eastern side of Singapore.

He always detest going home, not because he don’t like his parents but he always feels that there is a presence in his house.

It is a secret which he never told anyone.

This day, he was alone at home as his parents went away for a holiday and he was just preparing to go out for a dinner with his friends.

Peter’s toilet is at the kitchen and like the older HDB flats, the wash basin is outside the toilet at the side.

As he was combing his hair in front of the mirror at the basin. He felt very uncomfortable but was not able to pinpoint the reason.

There was something about the reflection (his own) which he feels weird. The movements between himself and his reflection seems to be not in sync. The reflection seems to be a few millisecs slower….

He dismissed it as perharps he is too tired and did not think too much into it….as he lowered to wash his face, what he did not know was that the reflection did not. It stay in the last instance when he was staring into the mirror.

After washing, he was cleaning the soap off with his towel when he got the shock of his life!!!

His reflection was back facing him!!!

That really scared the wits out of him and he ran to his room, picked up the phone and called his friend.

“Mike, come quick…there is something weird going on my place…”

“What is it? You are late for our meeting with the girls already.” said Mike.

“The farking mirror is haunted….%^&*$# come quick lah..”

“Ok Ok, coming..”

After 10 mins, Mike came, Mike was Peter’s best friend in school and they stayed quite near to each other.

“What’s the hell you talking abt, brother..?”

“I don’t know, it’s the mirror, there is something wrong with the reflection..”

Mike went to the mirror and it look fine to him….he reckon that Peter must be too tired from his soccer training the day before and could be “dreaming”…

“Bro, I think u need to rest lah…there is nothing wrong with the mirror..” Mike said.

“Bloody hell, there was something in that mirror, I am not joking…” said Peter in a frustrated tone…

Mike was quite pissed off and left Peter’s place….

Not knowing what to do…Peter went back to his bedroom and tried to sleep, thinking it could be just his eyes playing tricks on him…

Peter fell asleep after a while, suddenly, he felt a little hand tugging at his clothes….he got up and saw a little boy.

“Who the hell are u???” shouted Peter as he was very sure he locked the door after Mike left.

The little boy did not say a word and just pointed to Peter’s laundry basket at the side of his table.

Suddenly, Peter woke up.

It was just a dream but it felt so real.

Peter looked at the laundry basket which his mum has just bought for him the day before. Something tells him that he should remove it.

He took the basket and placed it at the edge of his bed.

From then onwards, Peter was no longer disturb by any spiritual beings.

Who was that boy? Was Peter’s basket blocking his blode?

Well, I believe that the boy is a resident spirit of Peter’s place and that by placing his dirty clothes at the particular spot, he has disturbed the spirit.

It was a lucky thing that the spirit did not do any drastic things to Peter or his family.

Hope you enjoy this story. It might sound stupid but sometimes, the most simple and stupid stories are the most real ones…

Bloged in Paranormal by Gatekeeper Thursday August 3, 2006

Now is the Chinese 7th Month aka Hungry Ghosts’ Festival where it is believed that for this whole month, the ghosts of hell are released on Earth for a “holiday”.

Will be following up with my story soon.

So sorry that I took so long as it has been an eventful year for me…somewhat good, somewhat bad.
